Our practice is named AMIGS – Atlanta Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Center. Most patients who undergo conventional gynecological surgery require a one to three day hospitalization followed by four to six weeks of recuperation at home. By utilizing the most current minimally invasive techniques, the same surgery can usually be done on an outpatient basis with patients resuming the full spectrum of normal activity within two weeks. Surgical procedures which can now be performed using these advanced techniques include hysterectomy, correction of stress urinary incontinence and the repair of pelvic floor relaxation (bladder, vaginal or rectal prolapse). Skin scars are minor. Typically three tiny abdominal incisions are made: one belly button incision and two side incisions.

The Atlanta Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Center in Atlanta, Georgia, was founded by Dr. Nathan Mordel and is dedicated to providing exceptional, personalized gynecological care offering its patients minimally invasive alternatives to traditionally invasive procedures.

Insurance
Generally AMIGS accepts most insurance carriers. In the event that AMIGS doesn’t accept your particular coverage please note that usual hospital costs will continue to be covered under your policy. Your only out-of-pocket expenses for surgery will be the physician’s fees which generally run about one-third of the total cost. For particular information please contact us at 404/355-4885 or email at info@amigsurgery.com.
